Why won't the CSV Batch upload?

Are you having trouble uploading your CSV file for a Batch Upload?

When doing a Batch Upload, all of your tasks must originate from the same pick-up point.  Therefore, you are forced to batch upload from a template that has a pick-up point.

Quick Guide to creating a Template with a Pick-Up point

• Step 1: Click the + sign
• Step 2: Navigate to the "Templates" page
• Step 3:  Name your template
• Step 4: Uncheck “Pickup: Ask for pickup details”
• Step 5: Enter a pickup address and contact details
• Step 6: Save!

Notes:

• All tasks in each CSV file must have the same pickup address. If you have multiple pickup addresses, you will need to create a separate template and CSV for each.

Map Management

The map view in your GetSwift account makes it easy for you to track your tasks, view where your drivers are, or contact them. Click on "Map" on the top navigation bar to navigate to the page.

Click on any marker to show more information about a delivery or a driver.

Here you will see an overview of your current tasks whether they be in progress, unassigned, late, or scheduled in the future.  Additionally you can see which drivers are online at a given time along with their current status that updates dynamically as the driver works his/her task queue.

The panel in the lower part of the map screen will give you insights into your daily activity.  The 5 data points listed are daily metrics/KPIs about your delivery operations. You can select which 5 metrics you would like to be visible in the “Options” window located in the upper left part of the map.

Once you click on the “Options” button you are able to modify the map view in the following aspects:

• Add your location’s current traffic layer
• Modify the map style based on your personal preference
• Update your daily metrics to suit your business needs
• Filter any aspect of a Job listed in the left panel
• Show additional driver details
• Customize ETA visibility into your driver’s workload or specific to an order in the queue
• Add audio alerts so you are notified of live activity in your dashboard
• Cancel all tasks in bulk (be very careful of using this feature as it will cancel all tasks in the system)

How do I save regular pick-up and/or drop-off points?

Templates to Enter Tasks

Templates are a great way to save recurring information, such as pickup or destination details. This will help you save time when filling out future task entry forms.  You can also choose exactly which data fields in the task entry form are most applicable to your business and hide the data fields you do not need.

Templates are also required if you are looking to use the Batch Upload feature when entering tasks into GetSwift. 

You can create as many templates as you need. Follow the instructions below to get started:

1.  Click on the "+" button on the main navigation bar at the top of the page

2.  Click on "Templates" on the sub-page navigation bar

3.  Type a unique name for your template in the text box and push the "Enter"key on your keyboard

4.  Once you pick a unique template name, you will see a number of data fields appear on the right.  The first ones to consider are “Pickup” and “Destination” details.

5.  Fill in pickup details: If you wish to use the same pickup address on a recurring basis, uncheck “Ask for pick up details” and enter the pickup address and contact information for this template.

6.  Fill in destination details: If you wish to use the same destination address on a recurring basis, uncheck  “Ask for destination details” and enter the destination address and contact information for this template.

7.  In the "Ask for..." section, check off any additional data fields you would like to be visible when using this template

• For example, clicking "Reuse instructions" will allow you to enter delivery instructions when using this template

8.  Lastly, complete the Default Settings section. All of the fields in this section are optional.

• Note: The "Tag" field is only needed if you are going to be importing jobs via an email parser

9.  Once you save the template,  you will be able to use the template to enter new tasks by clicking on the “Simple Form” or “Advanced Form” buttons

TIPS AND TRICKS

• You can delete or duplicate any of the templates you create by clicking the 2 buttons below the "Save" button
• After making a template, you will no longer be able to use the “Simple Form” or “Advanced Form” and you will only be able to use the templates you have created.
• Best practice is create a template with all checked options. This will come in handy if you ever need to enter an ad-hoc order that does not fit any of your current templates.
• You can create as many templates as needed on a ongoing basis!

I already have an account, why can't I log in as a driver?

Add yourself as a driver: because you already registered your email address when opening your merchant account, all you will need to click Invite Driver followed by “Click here to become driver for [Your Merchant Account Name]”

Please Note: GetSwift does not employ drivers!  The GetSwift Driver app will not work (you will not receive jobs) if you are not approved by an employer who is using our software.

I am having issues with job notifications, GPS or other technical difficulties. What can I do?

1. Ensure that you have been approved as a driver by your company

   • Please Note: The GetSwift Driver Application will only work for you if a business has invited you to drive for them.  GetSwift does not employ drivers.

2. Ensure that the GetSwift Driver app is open at all times and you are ‘online’ in the app

3. Ensure that your Android or iOS software is updated to the latest version

4. Ensure that your GetSwift Driver App is updated to the latest version

5. Ensure that you have enough battery on your phone and not on power saving mode

6. Ensure that you have good cell service and data connectivity

7. Ensure that your phone is configured with the optimal notification and location settings below and also take a look at this troubleshooting article by the Rideshare Guy that is also applicable to GetSwift drivers:

   • For iOS phones:
     • Do not activate power saving mode
     • Click on Notifications and ensure that ‘Allow notifications’ and all other options below are turned on
     • Click on Location settings and set it to ‘Always’
   • For Android phones:
     • Do not activate power saving mode
     • Click on Location Settings
       • Ensure that the ‘Locating Method’ setting is on ‘High accuracy’
       • Click into ‘Improve accuracy’ and check both options
     • Click on Notification Settings
       • Ensure the ‘Allow Notifications’ is on
       • Ensure that ‘Show silently’ is off

8. Based on how your employer has set up their settings, you may not be receiving jobs if the dispatcher has not dispatched any jobs to you, if you are farther away from the pickup address than is allowed, or if you have reached the maximum number of jobs you can accept at one time

List View of Tasks (Live Jobs)

To see a list view of your tasks and the corresponding status, click on the “Menu” icon (𝝣) followed by “Live Jobs” in the drop-down. In this view, you will be able to assign, modify and cancel tasks.

You can find information on each task including:

• Estimated Response Time: Indicate your average dispatch time for all tasks
• Dispatch Status: Indicates whether the task is Submitted, Ready for Driver,  Waiting for Driver, etc.
• Progress Bar: Indicates the task stage: Order Placed → Driver Accepted → Picked Up → Delivery

• More: Gives you the options to Edit, Delete, add Notes and see more details

• Ability to Remind, Notify & Remove Drivers

  • Remind: Sends reminder (mobile push notification) to the driver about the task
  • Notify: Notify a specific driver about the task
  • Remove: Remove the current driver from the task (then you can reassign another driver)

Once a business has invited you to drive for them through a link, please follow the steps below. If your account username and password has been provided to you by your employer, please skip to Step 3.

STEP 1: Click on the link provided by your employer

STEP 2: Set up your profile with your name, email, phone number and other details

STEP 3: Download the GetSwift Driver app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

STEP 4: Login to the app using your username and password.

STEP 5: Configure your notification and location to the optimal settings

• For iOS phones:
  • Do not activate power saving mode
  • Click on Location settings and set it to ‘Always’
  • Click on Notifications and ensure that ‘Allow notifications’ and all other options below are turned on
• For Android phones:
  • Do not activate power saving mode
  • Click on Location Settings
    • Ensure that the ‘Locating Method’ setting is on ‘High accuracy’
    • Click into ‘Improve accuracy’ and check both options
  • Click on Notification Settings
    • Ensure the ‘Allow Notifications’ is on
    • Ensure that ‘Show silently’ is off 

STEP 6: Turn your GetSwift app online to receive orders

• For iOS phones:
  • In the top right of your screen click "I'm Offline" to bring you to the Account page
  • Toggle the "I'm Offline" button to go online
• For Android phones:
  • If your phone showing ‘Offline…Re-establish uplink’
  • Simply click on your ‘Profile’ tab and swipe the ‘toggle’ (a line with a circle) in the top right corner.

STEP 7: Learn how to use the GetSwift app through our driver support guides. You will learn how to accept, start, navigate to, capture proof of delivery, and complete jobs. You will also learn how to look back at past jobs you have already completed and edit your profile.
