Manage Drivers

Driver Match Key

Auto assign jobs to drivers

Driver Match Keys allows you to automate assignment of drivers to specific tasks when entering tasks into GetSwift through the API or Batch Upload methods.

For example: If you do daily milk deliveries to local restaurants and cafes, you could upload your daily run sheet into GetSwift which would have driverID already pre-selected in your sheet so once you upload the daily run all drivers are assigned immediately to their deliveries and then smart routing in the GetSwift driver app tells the driver where to go first.

Driver Tracking Accuracy

driver location precision

GetSwift uses the geolocation services in the smartphone.  Different phones behave differently and we recommend that for optimum results, the GetSwift App remains open at all times while a driver is logged on for their shift.  This will prevent GPS driver locations becoming stagnant.

driver Location Setup

To use the GetSwift Driver Application, you MUST turn on your devices GPS location settings:

  • Note: If you do not turn on your location settings and have it set as shown below - the application will not work correctly

Set to ‘On’ and ‘High Accuracy’

Set to ‘Always’

driver’s battery power

Please also note, Geolocation services use additional smartphone battery resources.  We encourage all drivers to start their shifts with a full battery charge to ensure battery life is strong.  To get the maximum out of smartphone battery life, we also recommend:

  •  Do NOT activate power saving mode

  • Turning screen brightness down

  • Closing other app’s not currently in use

  • Having an in-car charger or bracket for mounting for directions
